Forthcoming events with Clifton Diocesan Choir

Dear all,

As part of our promise to keep you in touch with the Diocesan Music Service, we hope that you'll be interested in the following.

4th April. Chrism Mass Clifton Cathedral, 11am

The Chrism Mass is the centrepoint of the Diocesan year. It is always a splendid occasion, with plenty of great and varied music. This year will be no exception, and to make sure that the Diocesan choir is in top form we have booked the cathedral for TWO rehearsals on the Sundays leading up to the Mass itself. These are Sundays 25th March and 1st April. We would like anybody who wants to sing at the Chrism Mass to be able to attend at least one of these rehearsals. If that causes any difficulties, please contact us via our website at cliftonms.com/contact.php or direct to martin@cliftonms.com.

For more details, and to indicate that you are intending to sing in the Chrism Mass, please click here.

The music list will be published soon, but will include the Mass of St Paul the Apostle by Christopher Walker. The music is available for download from OCP.org or in printed format from Decani Music.

Please do pass this on to anybody who you think might want to sing with us - other members of your choir or music group, or any members of your parish who are singers.

We hope to see you at one or both of these celebrations. There'll be a fuller newsletter and more news in the near future.

Clifton Music Service website

The Clifton Music Service website at cliftonms.com has some great resources on it for you to use, plus more information about the Music Service, which is updated on a regular basis with news of Diocesan Music and cathedral services.

Give us some idea of what you want to see on it (for instance, a Mass/Service planner is in development, and we hope to get some forums going again soon) and we'll do our best to implement them.

Oh, and we've also got a Twitter account. Follow us at @cliftonmusic

Please let us know if you don't wish to receive information from us any more, by clicking here.

Please feel free to forward this information to anyone you think might be interested in it, and if you think there's someone who should be getting information directly from us let us know and we'll add them to the list. An automated subscription system another one of those things in the pipeline when time permits!
