I will Praise You Lord

Here's a small treat for those who came to the Singing Day in Dursley on November 5th.

The cantors session was built almost entirely around this psalm, which I composed sometime ago and which I introduced as one of my own personal warming up exercises. I use it because it involves a gentle build-up of pitch and intervals, but also because it's based on the most used Invitatory Psalm for the Catholic Liturgy of the Hours (Morning Prayer, Evening Prayer, etc).

You can download the music (for voice and piano) here.

The backing track, which uses the piano part plus two flute parts, is here. If you want the flute parts, just get in touch with composer This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..
